Wesley
Morgan
Wesley Morgan, a native of Sarasota FL, received his B.M. in voice
from Florida Southern College in 2002, where he studied with world
reknowned mezzo-soprano, Beverly Wolff. He has appeared in
many theatrical roles, including “Count Almaviva” in
a cover cast performance of Il Barbiere di Siviglia with the St.
Petersberg Opera in Florida. Concert credits include tenor soloist
in the Messiah with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra in Lakeland,
FL, Saint-saens’ Christmas Oratorio, Schubert’s Mass
in G, Dubois’ Seven Last Words of Christ, and Pergolesi’s
Gloria.
While in Florida, Wesley served as adjunct voice faculty at the
prestigious Harrison Performing Arts School for 5 years. After
graduating, he served as the musical director for Florida Southern
College’s Theatre department, where he played and directed
such shows as Into the Woods and Threepenny Opera.
Wesley is pursuing his Masters degree at Georgia
State University, and is currently performing in the Atlanta Opera
production of “Cold
Sassy Tree,” which opened Feb. 2 at the Cobb Energy
Performing Arts Centre.
