Karen Fitzgerald

Ms. Fitzgerald performed professionally for more than 15 years as an actress, choreographer, and director in regional theater, dinner theater and cabaret.  Some of her more memorable roles include "Velma" in "Chicago" in a New York production, and "Roxie" in a Florida production.  She has done summer stock with Zsa-Zsa Gabor, and directed the Palm Beach Follies with an appearance by Douglas Fairbanks. 

She owned her own studio in New York, and brought her wealth of experience to The Susan Chambers School of Theatre Dance as a Ballet, Musical Theatre and Acting instructor for six seasons.  She has taught at the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida under Marjorie Tallchief, New York State University at Stoneybrook, and the Palm Beach Ballet Acacemy.  She has choreographed and directed over 25 children's productions as one of the corporate board members of the Brookhaven Theatre Dance Guild of Long Island, working with Gwen Verdon, Peter Genaro and Tina Santos. 

Ms. Fitzgerald was on staff at The Susan Chambers School of Theatre Dance until summer, 2003, and returns to choreograph for The Susan Chambers Dance Company.
