Emily Chrietzberg
Emily Chrietzberg was bitten by the dance bug at an early age. She performed with the Southeast Dance Theatre and continued training through the Fine Arts Center High School in Greenville, SC. She comes to The Susan Chambers School of Theatre Dance and The Susan Chambers Dance Company most recently from Columbia College Chicago where she earned her BA in Radio/TV production and Dance Performance/Choreography. While training in modern techniques such as Graham, Horton, and Bartiniaff at school, Ms. Chrietzberg's also assisted in the opening of M2 Dance Center in St. John, Indiana, where she taught for three years. During a summer internship for Focus Features Films, Ms. Chrietzberg lived in Los Angeles, enabling her to take class on a regular basis from some of the industry's best.
Some of Ms. Chrietzberg's influences are LA choreographers like Ray Leeper, Jason Parsons and Mark Meismer, as well as performance and media dance companies like Australian Dance Theater, Hubbard Street Chicago and Random Dance Company of London. She loves to choreograph and hopes one day to be an influence on the world of dance in media, film, and TV. Until then, she values her time spent with the talented dancers at The Susan Chambers Dance Company.
